National Apprenticeship Week 2022

Here at Revis and Co, we believe that young people are our future, and so we have endeavored to support young people entering into business by offering many apprenticeship positions throughout the years. We have so far had the pleasure of helping 4 people move forward with their careers through apprenticeships, and we hope to add many more! In honor of national apprenticeship week, we rounded up some opinions from our current employees on how they have found either being apprentices or working alongside them.

During the time we have been working with apprentices, it has been very pleasing to watch these young shy people, who have been taken out of their comfort zone, develop, not only in their work-life but also as individuals learning new skills as young adults.

Andrew Revis, Senior Accountant

It has been a pleasure working alongside our apprentices and helping them on their journey to become fully qualified accountants. You can really see how they are constantly improving in not just their work, but also with their life skills which they learn whilst working alongside their studies.

Jack Revis, Practice Manager

I started as an apprentice 24 years ago which gave me a great start and helped me get my qualifications and pursue a career in accounts. It’s great to see that is still available to this day, and now I can be a part of helping apprentices on their journey.

Kym Ritchie, Team Leader

I’ve enjoyed being an apprentice here at Revis & Co, as it allows me to put the theory learned in the classroom into practice in the real world. It’s a great way to learn and, at the same time, gain valuable job experience. I would definitely recommend it anyone that is looking to start their career whilst earning a wage!

Brad Abraham, Accounts Junior

Being an apprentice here at Revis & Co has been such an amazing experience, it has allowed me to develop my career early on and also develop my confidence in a work environment. I think anyone looking to go into higher education should definitely consider an apprenticeship- I have just finished my AAT Advanced Diploma and am looking forward to moving on to my AAT Level 4!
